Blogging Dog

My name is Scampy and I live with the Coles. They adopted me in November of 2009. Here are a couple of pictures of me when I arrived home with them.

Here I am a couple of months later (Feb of 2010) letting my hair down.

And playing in the snow.

This is me at Fifty Point in July 2012.

This time (August of 2012) I'm at Arrowhead.

And here I am at Killarney in Oct 2012.

As you can see, I get around.

Our pond in 2012.

Here are a few shots of the pond from last year. We're not yet this far into the season this year but when we are I'll try to take a couple of shots just to compare the difference year over year. Enjoy..

Sedum ‘Angelina’

A plant we are looking for:

The Sedum 'Angelina, was developed in a private garden in Croatia. 'Angelina' has brilliant, needle-shaped, golden yellow foliage. It is a very vigorous mat-forming plant Angelinas prefer well drained soil and to be kept on the dry side. It does well in a gritty soil or in a pot with its trailing habit.

Sedum ‘Angelina’ needs to be planted in full sun in well-drained soil. It will tolerate most soil types and is drought resistant. Plant with asters or coneflowers for a wonderful autumn display. ‘Angelina’ is a great choice for beds and borders and excellent as cut flowers. It is also a great butterfly and bee attractor and is disease resistant.

Mulch Day

Yesterday was Mulch day at the RBG and we made our usual 2 runs to load up.  Here is a load before we emptied the truck.

And after we unloaded, Pat started spreading it around careful not to cover all the plants that were poking their heads up after a long winters rest.

There is another load to spread around and we'll post again when that is complete.
